Along with the supply of standard steel types, the company conducts its own research for the development and delivery of new tool steel types that can provide enhanced performance under various operating conditions.

Interstal specialists developed and supplied multi-purpose nitrogenized die steel used in the manufacture of various shape-generating molding tools. Due to the optimum chemical composition of steel types, their TT and TCT modes, the provided steel types have economically advantageous quality(resistance)-to-price ratio in the manufacture of tools.

Nitrogenized hot die steel NDS-1,2,3 for large-sized tools is used for large-sized hammer and pressing tools, dies for crank-type hot die-forming presses, forging machines, pneumatic creeper cranes and others.
Nitrogenized hot die steel PhTN-3,5,6 is used for heavy duty pressing tools operating under sustained loading conditions at elevated temperatures.

Modes of TT and TCT are selected at the company’s request to the specific customer’s operating conditions of tools.
