Die tooling testing was successfully completed at “MZSH” and “KZTSH”.

At “MZSH" inserts were made of the steel BIS-2 instead of regular 1.2713 for hot stamping of pinion forgings, and at “KZTSH” sets consisting of a bottom die and a sleeve for shaft hot extrusion were prepared. The testing demonstrated that durability of dies made of the BIS-2 steel grade is higher than that of regular steel dies like 1.2713: it is two times higher for non-nitrided, and it is three times higher for nitrided which is confirmed by Test certificates. A decision was taken at the enterprise to continue together with “Interstal BY” company testing on production and adaptation of die tooling of various applications and dimensions made of the steels from BIS series.
