An article on nitride layer heat resistance of BIS and FTA die steels series was published in its 3d issue by the magazine “Znak Kachestva (Quality mark)”.

An article is published in the 3d issue of “Znak Kachestva” magazine which gives a detailed description of the conditions which affect the wear of the die working surface, tools working temperatures and lists measures aiming at the reduction of softening depth. The article in greater detail deals with one of the ways to enhance surface strength – nitriding.

 

The article provides comparison graphs (depth and microhardness of the nitrided layer, change in microhardness of upper layers depending on the heating) of the developed BIS and FTA steels and the regular steels as well as the table with test results.
